Our Story

Rooted in Tennessee. Raised with Love.

We're a small family-run breeding program nestled in the heart of Tennessee, dedicated to raising Mini Goldendoodles, Mini Cavapoos, Mini Bernedoodles, and Mini Havapoos the right way — with health, heart, and honesty.

Our family with our dogs

Our Story

How It All Began

It started the way most great things do — with a dog that changed everything. When our family welcomed our first Mini Goldendoodle, we quickly understood why these breeds capture so many hearts. The joy, the gentleness, the way they seem to know exactly when you need a cuddle — it was unlike anything we'd experienced.

What began as a love for our own dogs grew into a calling. We spent years learning everything we could about responsible breeding — studying genetics, health testing, temperament, and the science behind raising well-adjusted puppies. We visited other breeders, connected with veterinarians, and built a program we'd be proud to stand behind.

Today, Truly Southern Goldendoodles is our family's greatest labor of love. Every litter is planned with intention. Every puppy is raised in our home, not a kennel. And every family who takes one of our puppies home becomes part of our extended family.

What We Believe

Our Commitment to You

Health Above All

Every parent dog in our program is genetically tested for breed-specific conditions before they ever produce a litter. We share all health clearances openly — no secrets, no shortcuts. Our puppies come with a written health guarantee.

Home-Raised, Always

Our puppies are born and raised inside our home, surrounded by the sounds and rhythms of everyday family life. They're handled daily from birth, socialized with children, and introduced to a variety of experiences so they're confident and calm when they go home with you.

Full Transparency

We believe you deserve to know exactly where your puppy comes from. We welcome visits, answer every question honestly, and stay in touch long after your puppy goes home. We're not just breeders — we're a resource for the lifetime of your dog.

A Lifelong Community

When you adopt from us, you join a community of Truly Southern families across Tennessee and beyond. We love hearing updates, seeing photos, and watching our puppies grow into beloved family members.

Health Testing

What We Test For

Responsible breeding starts before a single puppy is born. All of our parent dogs are tested through OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) and breed-specific genetic panels. Here's what we screen for:

  • Hip & Elbow Evaluation

OFA-certified hip and elbow evaluations to screen for dysplasia.

  • Eye Certification

Annual CAER eye exams to screen for hereditary eye conditions.

  • Cardiac Evaluation

OFA cardiac exams, especially important for Cavalier lines.

  • Genetic Panel Testing

Comprehensive DNA panels screening for PRA, DM, vWD, and other breed-relevant conditions.

  • Patella Evaluation

OFA patella certification to screen for luxating patellas common in small breeds.

Puppies in our Tennessee home

Tennessee Roots

Proud to Call Tennessee Home

There's something about Tennessee that shapes the way we raise our dogs — the slower pace, the deep sense of community, the belief that things worth doing are worth doing right. Our puppies grow up with room to explore, fresh air, and the warmth of a true Southern home. We wouldn't have it any other way.
